Ain't Nothin' Better

.... than young love!!!

Congratulations to Danielle and Trevor for getting engaged this weekend!  Danielle is my little sister and I can't believe she's getting married. They're getting married in Vegas in January.  In the Las Vegas temple, that is, not at Elvis's Wedding Chapel, in case you were wondering.  We're excited to have Trevor in our family.

There's also nothing better than a little family time.  This weekend we went to the Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival with some friends of ours.  After it got dark they did a show with the balloons and had them all lit up.  It was pretty cool.

This picture pretty much sums up our family.  Madi has her cotton candy (she's got such a sweet tooth) and Jaxon has his spatula, which he carries around everywhere (Madi calls it his "scratch-ula").

Not surprisingly, Jaxon was pretty much obsessed with this light saber.  He's 100 % boy!

Finally, there is nothing better than baking with the kids.  I love to bake, probably too much.  The kids love it, too, though, so we bake a lot.  This afternoon we made some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and we let Jaxon join in the action for the first time.  Obviously, he was thrilled!

Jaxon is such a cheeser!  He knows to smile at the camera and he always has the funniest, cheesiest smiles.  Cracks me up!

Congratulations to Danielle! What a cute couple. And these pictures of your kids are darling. I would love one of your cookies right about now. You always were the best baker in Heritage Halls :)

Scratchula. Awesome. Kudos to you for letting him take it everywhere. That kind of kid-love always cracks me up. They love the weirdest stuff!
